Knitted bits.

Still battling my way through the nausea, but I have been managing to knit, yay!

They aren't looking very exciting at the moment, but here are some WIP pics...and an almost WIP pic LOL.

Seamless Baby Kimono:

Baby Yoda Sweater: (I have run out of wool...I knew I would, heehee, good excuse to buy more!!)

Jolly Jumbuck wool that will become a pair of longies (just waiting on some 30cm circs):

Harri's hat!

A little while ago, you may recall, LOL, I made Harri a cute as stretchy beanie and have been patiently waiting for her Mama to post a pic so I could nab it....

And she has! Isn't Harri beautiful!!

Still here :)

Plodding along with my creaky pelvis and sore heavy belly (and I'm only 27wksish, sheesh!).

Not much news to share, but I did whip up this pair of longies for Indy. I think they are awesome if I do say so myself, LOL. They are in Utiku's Blueberry colourway, yummo!

More pics of FO's in use :)

I nabbed these from Harriet's Mama's EC blog a few days ago but haven't gotten around to blogging them yet...until now :)

So here is Ms Harriet modelling her dress, hat AND legwarmies all at once!

Finished objects in use, yay!

(Yeah I am so not creative with titles at 7:56am when I have had next to zero sleep for oh....however far along this pregnancy is...)

Harriet's Mama was kind enough to let me nick the photos she posted on her EC blog of Harri modelling the legwarmies I made for her, so I am sticking them on here too :)
I think the fun of making something for someone doubles, triples....skyrockets maybe? when you know that you have made something useful and that they like, and photos are even better, LOL.

So here they are! And the original post where the photos came from is here.

Photos of Finished Objects!

So if you are Harriet's Mama and don't want to spoil the surprise, don't look!!!

Over the last few weeks I have been knitting away madly to make a few things for Ms Harriet (unfortunately I dropped a stitch on the very rainbow thingy and couldn't save it...had to frog it and start it again...well, I will start it again when I stop being shitty at it!).

Harriet and her parents are doing Elimination Communication (and the related blog is a fascinating read!!), so I tried to make things that are EC friendly. Here are the finished objects.... there will be at least one more (the rainbow thingy), but have a bit of yarn left over from these things and keep contemplating what I could use it for LOL.

(btw I am linking these to my Ravelry projects so you can find the patterns from there if you are interested...if you aren't on Ravelry, well then, maybe you should be LOL)

Firstly some very cute Legwarmies. The pattern is made for 3mths - 2 years so I tried to make them a wee bit smaller so that they would fit Harri better now. Not the most colourful wool, but being Cleckheaton Cocoon it is very soft, and the colour can go with anything I reckon :)

Next up is a Sleepsack. Kind of a deceiving name because it is open at both ends, so more like a sleeptube! (Notice I manage to snap the pic only seconds before Indy stood on it, cheeky cheeky!) Ultra soft and warm, the ribbing is Paton's Jet, which is a blend of wool and alpaca and the body is The Knittery's Posmerino, a blend of merino and possum fur!

This next project was a little bit scary for me, LOL. It has *gasp* side seams! I have never done side seams before, but can now say I nailed and am no longer afraid! (Though I think I may have made the seam too thick on the inside iykwim) This is Blossom, a dress made in The Knittery's Merino and Cashmere, the colourway is called Bloody Mary.
I am going to take the ribbon off though, I don't like it, its shitty ribbon... I didn't realise it was shit until yesterday when I took it off the reel thingy to sew it on :( I think I will crochet a tie instead.

I have a fair bit of the Merino/Cashmere leftover from Blossom so yesterday I whipped up this hat, from a Cleckheaton Crochet book I bought a couple of weeks ago, pattern not in Ravelry sorry... A Lace hat it's supposed to be the 3mths size, but I think I made it a wee bit big...good thing babies grow and not shrink!!!

So I am sort of working on Rainbow thingy, LOL, and with still a fair bit of the merino/cashmere left I am thinking of what else I can make with it... and starting to think about making stuff for #3. Or maybe Indy... Or maybe Jet... Or maybe all 3 LOL.

More photos :)

More teasing here, hehehe.

Have finished 2.5 things for Ms Harriet now (the .5 is seaming that I am avoiding because its scary LOL) and cast on another yesterday...while contemplating another teehee.

So without much more blabbering, photos!

The first photo is an update of the ball of 'rainbow' wool that I posted the other day. And second photo is some very rainbow wool that I picked up the other day :)

Because I am a teaser and teasing is fun

(and it makes me look like I am actually blogging when I'm not really writing about anything interesting, LOL)

another sneaky peek....

This is about to become something else for Ms Harriet. The colours kinda suck in that photo, LOL, but it is supposed to be sort of rainbow coloured, not bright (because it is merino wool and possum fur) but still rainbow-ish...I just suck at taking photos of yarn, hehe. Will try to get a better one when the work is in progress ;)

And for fellow Ravelers (is that the right way to say that??) if you look in my projects you will find what it is ;)

A sneaky peek and more artwork.

There's nothing more fun than teasing people who know they are receiving something with little sneaky peeks at what they are getting.

So these 2 knitted 'somethings' are for Harriet...I wonder what they are???

And what's a mummy blog without lots of bragging. Some more pics by Jet done this afternoon.
Lots of shapes!

My little artist :)

The blog is being a little neglected right now...sorry bout that...oops!

Thought I would make it look a little interesting by sharing some pics I took this morning of Jet's artwork. I have been a slack mummy when it comes to rescuing a keeping his artwork before he and Indy decide that ripping paper is fun, oops! So when I saw this mornings pictures, I jumped on them!

Here we have an E and an F

a Z and a 4

Lots of I's an A and I think an L

And my favourite, a person!

And here is a pic of the fingerless gloves I made for a fellow Woolaholic for the I Love Lace swap, I hope she likes them!!

I have also been busy knitting a few baby items, not for my bub, but for Harriet...I can't show pics of them yet cos I want them to be a surprise for her mumma ;)

Not much else is new around here...still battling the nausea, gah, I can't believe it... 23wks+(ish, LOL) and still feeling awful. No vibes to what the gender is yet, though I have been told by a few people that they think I am having a boy. Is that because I have 2 already??? I'd say they have a 50/50 chance of being right, hahaha.
Maybe there's one of each in there...

Only 1 WIP?????

omg omg LOL

It feels weird weird weird....I only have 1 WIP on the go!!!

Yesterday I cast off on the shawl for MIL, today I weaved in the ends and gave it a good wash to get the lanolin out of it....and the dye came out too, DOH!!

Oh well, Jamie reckons that the colours look more like old lady colours that his mum would like (hey, he said it not me!!!).

Its not incredibly long...it just goes over the shoulders, I could have gone onto the 3rd ball that she gave me but the lanolin was killing me!! So sticky and itchy!!!
But it stretched a bit when I washed it, so it's all good :)

So here's the FO:

And that means that all I have on the go now is Ms Marigold! Can I get it finished before Christmas, that is the question!!!

update on the shawl...

Slowly plugging away at this...am onto a second ball, different colourway so I think its going to look interesting, but I think the colours are still close enough that it doesn't look entirely odd...iykwim. And I think it will look 100 times better once its done and the ladders are created etc.

Needs a bloody good wash too!! The wool is still really lanolinly, am finding that its starting to irritate my hands...

A(nother) new project

Have casted on the Sunday Market Shawl, meant to be a Xmas pressy for the MIL, I'm making it from some handspun she gave me a while back. She spun and dyed it when she first started spinning and says she has no use for it....I took it even though its pinky (refuse wool? Hell NO! LOL). So I thought I would whip it up in to something I can give back to her!

It has however, reminded me how much knitting on straights sucks....

Sunday Market Shawl

Or for those not on Ravelry (you poor souls, LOL) here...

all that work and....

Well...I guess the photos don't make it all that obvious, but its too big!

So score one for Indy!

This was meant to be for my Nappycino Swap but I think it'll be a tad too big for a 3mth old if it fits Indy LOL!

Oh well. Its the first soaker I have ever made so that was...interesting. I like it :)

Oops! Forgot to say the pattern is the Punk Rock Knitters :)
