Finished objects in use, yay!

(Yeah I am so not creative with titles at 7:56am when I have had next to zero sleep for oh....however far along this pregnancy is...)

Harriet's Mama was kind enough to let me nick the photos she posted on her EC blog of Harri modelling the legwarmies I made for her, so I am sticking them on here too :)
I think the fun of making something for someone doubles, triples....skyrockets maybe? when you know that you have made something useful and that they like, and photos are even better, LOL.

So here they are! And the original post where the photos came from is here.

Recommended Reading ;)

I may not have been blogging much myself lately but there are 2 blogs in particular that I have been enjoying following and for anyone who happens to be looking for something crunchy, inspiring, and just really interesting, as well as really getting you thinking, I highly recommend Harriet's Mama's 2 blogs :)

First there is
The Musings of Harriet's Mama
The Life & Mind of a Lotus-Water-Freebirthin', Co-Sleeping, Non-Vaccinating, Baby Wearing, Cloth Nappy Using, Elimination Communicating, Lactivist, Feminist, Mum of One.

And her second blog, serving as a sort of diary for her family's journey with Elimination Communication (you might not want to read it while eating though, I learnt that from experience, LOL).

See A Cue? Catch A Poo!
This is where I keep track of our elimination communication (EC) journey. EC is the practice of learning and watching for a baby's elimination cues and catching her poo and wee rather than leaving her to soil herself. It's about strengthening communication between baby and parents and keeping baby in touch with her instincts

remember me?

Yes I am STILL battling the dreaded morning sickness...its getting a bit ridiculous at 17wks!! Hopefully it eases off soon because it is so so so SO tiring! (Not to mention bloody annoying!)

So I just wanted to post to say I am still around! Still here!
Have been a little busy of late working on a new little project and I hope you will all come and check it out....

Hathor Birth Haven

Hope you are all well, and hopefully I'll be back blogging, knitting and crocheting as much as I would like to be really soon :)

Yum yum yum!

Got my chocolate brocade ring sling, from The Complete Fabrication yesterday, oh my, oh my, oh my!

I have thought for ages that ring slings looked waaaaaaaaay too tricky for me to master, but I kept going back and looking at it again, and again, and again.....and seeing as it was chocolate, and I love brown, I thought, why not?!

Wore Indy in it today, OMG, it was so easy and the fabric is so lush... I think it will now be known as my advocacy sling, lol, I wore it at the supermarket and so many people were having a look and Indy, bless him, was sleeping peacefully.

So yep, definitely a sling to wear in public ;)

Even Jamie, who questioned why I bought another sling (I now have a Moby Wrap, an Ergo and this ring sling), loved the fabric and said it looked way better than the Moby and that Indy looked as snug as a bug in a sling, lmao.

Will try to remember to get a pic of Indy in it, but here are the pics from The Complete Fabrication (found at OzeBaby btw, link on side...)
